Hi Arpaporn! Please tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into your current role.

My journey in the wellness industry began with a vision to bring truly authentic, high-end Thai healing to London. After the success of my first venture, Opulence Thai Spa; which became a destination for those seeking premium care; I saw an opportunity to expand that vision. I wanted to create a more intimate, boutique sanctuary specifically for the Islington community. That led to the birth of Me-Thais, where I can combine my years of experience in luxury wellness with a personal touch

Tell us about your business and offering. Me-Thais is a premium wellness studio in Angel Islington that specialises in authentic Thai massage. We bridge the gap between ancient Eastern traditions and modern London lifestyles. Our menu is curated to offer everything from traditional dry Thai massage and deep tissue treatments to luxurious aromatherapy. We focus on 'authentic wellness,' meaning our therapists are highly trained in genuine techniques that provide real physical and mental relief, all set within a sophisticated, tranquil environment

What is your business inspiration? What influences the business choices you make?

My inspiration comes from the rich heritage of Thai healing arts and the desire to empower people through self-care. As an entrepreneur, I am influenced by the belief that wellness should be an immersive experience. Every choice, from the selection of our skilled therapists to the minimalist design of the studio, is made to ensure that Me-Thais feels like a premium escape. We want our clients to feel the same 'opulence' and quality that I built my reputation on with my first spa.

What are your main challenges?

One of the biggest challenges is educating the public on the difference between a standard massage and 'Authentic Thai Therapy.' It is a skilled art form that requires immense precision. My goal is to maintain the highest standards of luxury and professionalism in an industry that is sometimes misunderstood, ensuring every guest feels safe, respected, and completely pampered.

Who is your typical customer?

We cater to the discerning residents and professionals of Islington who prioritise their health and well-being. Our typical customer is someone who works hard and needs a reliable 'reset' button; people who appreciate the finer details of a luxury service and are looking for a boutique experience that feels more personal than a large commercial spa.

What makes your business unique? Why should people visit?

What makes us unique is the combination of my proven track record in luxury wellness and our deep roots in Thai tradition. While many places offer massage, Me-Thais offers a 'wellness journey' led by an experienced female founder who understands the London luxury market. People should visit because we offer the perfect balance of world-class expertise and a warm, boutique atmosphere that you can only find in an independent, local business

Do you have any upcoming events we can help you share?

As we have recently opened our doors in Angel, we are currently hosting a Grand Opening celebration. We’d love for the Angel Islington readers to be among the first to experience our new sanctuary. There is a wonderful sense of community here, and being located near the hustle and bustle of Upper Street while providing a quiet, peaceful hideaway is exactly what I envisioned for Me-Thais.
